Job Description
Qualifications:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Buyer will be responsible for all of the purchasing functions within the commodity that they support.
• Evaluate and execute all material requirement plans
• Achieve lowest total cost sourcing taking into account quality, quantity, price, delivery, and supplier sustainability
• Reconcile accounts payable and resolve other payment issues
• Maintain data integrity of lead time and delivery dates
• Supplier Management o Develop a business partner relationships o Measure/Trend Supplier OTD deliveries o Measure/Trend Supplier Quality o Measure/Trend Supplier Responsiveness o Drive Improvement back to supplier through some type of formal continuous improvement program utilizing measures and trends defined above o Own any procurement function involved in MRN process ? RMA ? Scoring supplier ?
