Job Description
|
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
• Responsible for performing DOCSIS, gateway broadband product testing
• Develop, maintain and execute detailed requirements-based test plans and procedures
• Independently troubleshoot problems with product, network and test tools
• Report bugs to developers, assist with debug and track and verify fixed bugs with globally located developers and other test teams.
• May be responsible for the development and implementation of test automation
• Able to embrace challenging assignments and develop new approaches with minimal supervision
• Able to work in a team environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
• 4+ years engineering experience in a test environment
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of IP stack, TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, DHCP, SIP, H.323, NTP, mail, TFTP, FTP and routing protocols
• Experience with TCP/IP, SNMP, DHCP, 802.11, SIP, NTP, mail, TFTP, FTP and analyzers, gateways, routers, firewalls and switches
• Knowledge about DOCSIS standards
• Familiarity with MoCA
• SUN, MAC, and Linux platform experience a plus
• Configure PCs, UNIX servers, routers, test tools, DSL/DSLAM, Ethernet network, and HFC cable environments
• MS-Office, Excel and Project familiarity
