Job Description
|
Legal, Manager Contracts
Description
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Corporate Counsel and provide primary contracts management.
• Review, analyze, draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial, national and global account sales and service agreements, construction agreements, non-disclosure agreements and related contract documentation with internal stakeholders and external customers
• Assist sales, engineering and finance teams with review and analysis of requests for proposals, requests for bids and other competitive bid solicitations, and with the preparation of responses to such requests
• Advise and counsel business team members with respect to contract issues
• Conduct legal research as required to understand and advise regarding contract compliance requirements
• Assist in monitoring and training to help ensure compliance with company-wide policies and initiatives
• Assist with additional duties as required
• U.S. Citizenship Required
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with federal government contracts/bids and/or software support/licensing agreements is a plus but not required
• Excellent writing and verbal skills indicative of an ability to interface effectively with staff attorneys and outside service providers as well as internal and external customers
• Experience working directly with client, sales teams, staff attorneys and operational management
• Ability to multitask and work effectively to meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Demonstrable skill in negotiating and understanding of contract provisions and risk allocation
• Strong PC skills (MS Office, Outlook and Internet)
• Paralegal training and/or certification helpful, but not required
