The Associate Business Account Specialist is responsible for contacting Commercial accounts in order to negotiate payment in full, settlements or payment arrangements on aged or high balance commercial debt, while following federal, state, and client collection guidelines and laws. The Associate is also responsible for commercial customer retention.
Resolve past due commercial accounts.
Negotiate balance in full and settlements.
The negotiation process requires reviewing the account information in database, and/or asking the customer probing questions in order to understand potential objections to payment.
Contacting commercial customers regarding the status of their early drop transaction.
Overcome stalls and objections and suggest money sources for debt payment.
Determine correct business entity and pursue all applicable avenues.
Utilize various skip tracing techniques to locate right parties in order to negotiate payment arrangements.
Update the customer record with new information as well as any relevant notes about the call. Requirements.
Interact with Delinquency, Sales, Brokers and Customer Service.
A high school diploma and one to two years relevant experience is preferred
Previous experience in customer service, sales, collections, or a related role is preferred.
Knowledge of 3rd Party disclosure and FDCPA.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, utilizing proper grammar and telephone etiquette is preferred.
Prior PC knowledge is required.
Proficient in Excel and MS office products.
Ability to compute basic math calculations using addition, multiplication, division and percentages is preferred.
Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with other employees, as required facilitating processes.
