Job Description • Infrastructure Engineer responsible for daily administration of our SCCM 2012 production environment.
• This includes technical administration, documentation, and oversight of desktop solutions applied to the Enterprise.
• Desktop Configuration Management, lifecycle management, and, service automation (image creation, software distribution, reporting, patch management, OS deployment), operational management, and administration of our platforms.
• Analyzes, designs, develops, document, and implements complex solutions for the desktop.
• Creates and certifies Desktop images for all hardware platforms used in the enterprise.

• Executes all aspects of complex systems hardware/software engineering projects, which involve multiple disciplines and platforms and impact multiple business units or the enterprise.
• Executes configuration management, technical vendor management, problem mitigation, change management, and critical situation management to complex systems as well as their multiple platforms and software applications.
• Performs the configuration/capacity planning, software product evaluation, systems performance analysis and optimizations for software/hardware systems.
• Provides consultation and technical solutions to management on complex systems integration, compatibility, expandability, ease of use, and multiple platform issues as they relate to hardware/software.
• Plans and conducts complex software/hardware product evaluations; develops and recommends technical strategies and solutions to management.
• Conducts assessments of risk, cost, and return on investment scenarios and impact as well as potential compatibility issues with existing hardware/software.
• Installs complex hardware/software products by analyzing the current system environment, using technical tools and utilities, performing complex product customization, and developing implementation and verification procedures to ensure successful installation of systems hardware/software.

• Ensures the currency of each environment through analysis and implementation of remediation plans.
• Drives solution improvements through optimization, enhancements, and implementation of new features and functions.
• Serves as point-of-contact across several areas or disciplines to solve major systems outages with high impact or visibility.
• Assesses change implementation options, benefits and risks, and recommends most appropriate direction.

• Develops non-standard, non-routine portions of the implementation plan, including steps to resolve hardware/software compatibility issues; tests software and guides users in required operational changes.

Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent training and experience; Graduate degree preferred
• Approximately 6-9 years’ experience in field

Other Information:
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and group policy management.
SCCM 2012 deployment and infrastructure knowledge including troubleshooting, design, and implementation
• Ability to create Advertisement/ Collections/ Packages within an SCCM 2012 environment.
• Understanding of setup/use/troubleshooting of software deployment
• Full understanding of downloading and deploying MS patches using WSUS within SCCM 2012.

• Deploying updates with Systems Management Server or System Center Configuration Manager.
• Reporting with Systems Management Center Systems Management Server or 2007 & 2012.
• Script/ program experience in PowerShell, VBScript, C#
• Packaging experience should include Wise Studio, but Installshield experience may be substituted, along with VBScript and SMS packaging.
• Deployment experience with Systems Center Configuration Manager 2012.
• Create custom SCCM reports and knowledge of SCCM DB schema.
• Evaluates current procedures and processes for accomplishing department objectives and continuously develops and implements improved practices.

• Consults with customers regularly to identify needs, develop and implement proposals.
• Develops and maintains effective relationships with customers
• Identifies and prioritizes system requirements and enhancements, and communicates to executive management.
• Responsible for proper escalation, communications, and management of production system problems.
• Other duties as assigned
