Legal Clerk

Job Summary:
* This is a busy position involving coordinating and calendaring for a legal docket, assisting lawyers with contract data entry utilizing tools such as case in point and legal tracker, receiving legal agreements and ordering checks to be cut, typing simple legal documents, processing subpoena requests and maintaining court records in accordance with company procedures.
* The successful candidate is responsible for assisting lawyers with processing all new civil legal holds and opening matters internally.
* Candidate must have excellent phone and people skills, a high level of communication with the lawyers, business leaders, H.R. professionals, government employees as well as other outside agencies and the general public.

* Candidate will perform general clerical duties assigned in accordance with the office procedures of the facility.
* Job requires sorting and delivery of incoming mail and sending outgoing mail using USPS and Federal Express.
* Candidate will assist with scheduling appointments and deadlines and will provide general information to staff.
* Typing, formatting, editing and redacting routine documents, copying, scanning, filing, redacting exhibits, labeling and updating paper and electronic documents required.
* Heavy collection and chasing of information in a timely matter, verifying the accuracy and completeness of data submissions and forms required.
* Receives, researches and interprets documentation for the purpose of completing transactions.
* Contacts employees outside of the work area and receives incoming inquiries; resolves technical and complex problems within field of expertise.
* Performs analysis of complex nature on information received, and researches or resolves issues following prescribed procedures. Provide backup to other staff as needed.

Job  Requirements:
• High School Diploma with some college preferred
• Two years professional, legal, or paralegal related work experience or one year of experience as a law clerk
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
• Must be computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office Suite, prefer the ability to type 35 words per minute.
