Database Marketing Specialist Job Description:
o Consult w/clients and team members to develop and refine analytical solutions to client business problems. o Through the use of database and campaign management software (listed below), the incumbent will be responsible for design database marketing campaigns. o Create complex queries to select appropriate individuals for inclusion & exclusion of campaigns. o Create control groups within each campaign to measure overall effectiveness of Database Marketing efforts. o Create Data Extracts of various formats and complexity for use by Mail and Telemarketing vendors. o Create reports for each campaign. o Responsible for the accuracy of all marketing projects. o Perform quality control checks by performing statistical reports to evaluate: frequencies, Min, Max, Mode, and Cross- Tabs. o Provide Cross-Reference Checks that verify data against core application systems and verify data against other external data sources. o Develop complex computer programs to manipulate data, clean data, merge data from external sources and report results of projects. o Deliver on time, high quality analytical projects. o Document all aspects of each campaign and maintain data and criteria. o Load and maintain 3rd party data.
Qualifications Detail:
o Qualifications include Bachelor’s degree. o BA in Computer Science or Database Marketing experience, preferable. o Primary Research experience, preferably in secondary research. o Experiences with SQL required. o Proficiency with Marketing /Database Management system, preferably. o Experience with Campaign Management tools. o Demonstrated experience with demographic, psycho graphic, financial and credit related information. o Superior analytical skills coupled with solid oral and written communication skills. o Proven ability to manage multiple tasks. o In depth experience using Database and Reporting software such as Dbase, Access, Excel, Power Point, SPSS, etc. o Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required. o Adherence to deadlines is imperative. o Incumbent must be extremely detail oriented and able to work well under pressure. o Organizational skills are essential to keep track of the more than 30+ projects executed weekly. o Responsive to team-oriented personal style for effectiveness with clients and colleagues.
