Role summary
§ To ensure that all Goods and Services,Inbound Logistics, Container / Package Material and Logistic Services are effectively and efficiently procured in a manner which meets all legal, ethical, and VW Group Global Sourcing process guidelines.

The role has to:
§ Develop negotiation strategies coordinated and aligned with Group tasks
§ Assist suppliers in developing offerings to create a competitive environment to accommodate the needs of client
§ Establish and maintain relationships with Business Units and suppliers to aid in determining the most appropriate and cost efficient solutions based on business needs.

Role responsibilities:
§ Reports to the Manager IT and Services
§ Assure process consistency
§ Development of specifications, bid terms and contractual language for the competitive bid process
§ Review the qualifications of potential and current suppliers
§ Evaluation of bids, selection of vendor and the negotiation of terms and pricing
§ Analyze supply base and competition with reference to price, capacity, and quality as well as monitor the integration of current and potential suppliers establishing a sound supplier base
§ Develops and implements negotiation strategies coordinated and aligned with Group tasks
§ Develops and implements new strategies and tools to increase efficiency within the Procurement area
§ Provides resolution of Purchasing related problems
§ Initiate inquiries and assists the Business Units in questions of future strategic RFP’s
§ Review Purchase Authorization and backup and review all purchase orders along with the Internal Audit
