Overview:
• The Sr. SharePoint Designer/Developer must be an experienced developer with a senior level skill set.
• This team operates in a high-energy, fast paced environment that focuses on technology to drive business objectives.
• Successful candidates should be able to approach projects with an analytical mind, work collaboratively to identify client goals, and offer solutions.
• The incumbent works as part of a team responsible for new application development and/or improving existing applications to meet the changing needs of our business. Involvement will span all parts of the development life cycle to include analysis, design, and testing.
• The incumbent should also be a life long learner dedicated to maintaining up to date technical skills.
• The incumbent should be comfortable with developing solutions in a group or individual environment and communicating to all levels throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Works as part of a team responsible for new application development and/or improving existing web applications to meet the changing needs of our business.
• Involvement will span all parts of the development life cycle to include analysis, design, development and testing.
• Developing solutions in a group or individual environment and communicating to all levels throughout the organization.
• Meeting with business users to determine functional requirements.
• Design and develop reusable web applications/components, using Microsoft development tools, to meet functional requirements while conforming to accepted programming standards.
• Design and develop MSSQL databases, including table and stored procedure design, to meet functional requirements.
• Maintaining the existing landscape which includes frequent content updates, enhancements and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain technical specification throughout a project lifecycle.
• Promote tested code through the development lifecycle which consists of development, test, staging and production.
• Participate in project management process, which includes design review and peer collaboration.
• Perform data migrations and technology upgrades.
• Mentor junior developers.
Experience:
• A Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years experience working with the SharePoint platform.
• Collaboration, Portals and Enterprise Content management
• Ability to create sites, lists, forms, workflows as well as front end customizations
• Experience integrating business data from ERP, CRM and other back-end systems into SharePoint
• Experience with popular add-ons for SharePoint
• 3+ years experience building dynamic web sites in a Microsoft environment, including:
-C# and ASP.NET
-Experience with .Net 3.5 framework
• Experience with MSSQL 2000/2005
• Client-side experience using XHTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS and AJAX (must possess the ability to produces clean code by hand)
• E-commerce application development
• Object Oriented Analysis/Design/Development experience
• Version control and team development experience
• 3+ years of supporting/developing complex customer facing interactive solutions using Silverlight and Adobe Flash.
• At least 4 years experience in the design, development and successful execution of small to medium scale web projects
• Actively participated in the successful implementation of e-commerce systems and other system integrations
• Active participation in multi-discipline, high performance work teams
Skills and Knowledge:
• Must possess advanced knowledge of business workflows and have an in depth understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, Windows SharePoint Services, and SharePoint Designer. - Experience with Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms, and/or Business Intelligence is required.
• 3+ years developing/supporting scalable customer facing IT solutions that have strong community element. (i.e.e-community, internal/external social networking)
• 3+ years of supporting/developing complex customer facing interactive solutions using Silverlight and Adobe Flash.
• 3+ years IT experience designing and developing web applications. 3+ years of designing and developing enterprise level applications in C#, ASP.Net (Web Applications and Web Services), and ADO.
• Net and MSSQL Server 2000/5. Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) foundation and experience. Intimate knowledge of the .Net Framework and the Core Libraries. Strong level in client-side skills including XHTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX and VBSript. Knowledge in OO development principles, multi-tier web application design and relational database principles. Extensive practical experience with Design Patterns and OOD principles and methods.
• Must possess strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and disciplined professional with demonstrated success in information technology positions.
• Experience assisting in organizing, planning and executing medium to large scale projects from inception through implementation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills coupled with strong consensus building capabilities.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively communicate and thrive in a cross-functional team development environment as well as the ability to stay on task when working alone.
