Job Description
Scope of Work:

• Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
• Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
• May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.
• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks.
• Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Candidate Requirements

Other Skills: 3-5 years experience & must have Professional Engineer (PE) license

• Identify and develop energy conservation measures at public and private sector facilities.
• Identify facility operational issues and solutions
• Determine energy baselines and calculate energy avoidance for solutions
• Calculate operations and ancillary savings, generate financial reports supporting the scope of work
• Analyze and quantify energy consumption and savings
• Size and design mechanical retrofit applications
• Provide drawings, piping schematics, and control requirements and needed
• Work with the sales professional to price projects
• Participate in sales presentations, cultivating customer relationships, and identify new opportunities within customer accounts

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of progressive energy engineering experience.
• HVAC mechanical design experience.
• Experience in commercial and industrial energy engineering, utility cost analysis, facilities management, life cycle cost analysis, project development and conservation program implementation required.
• Strong project management, estimating and documenting skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) a plus
