Job Requirements:
• BS Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 5+ year relevant experience.
• Years Experience 6-9 years
Description:
• Software/firmware developer needed for control devices running on either a Linux or OS9 platform.
Duties:
• Develop and maintain cross-platform embedded real time traffic control applications under Linux and OS-9.
• Provide support to production & testing.
• Develop and maintain device drivers under Linux and OS-9.
• Provide support to tech services, training, and tech writers.
• Maintain Linux system images or kernels on MPC8270- or MPC83xx-based hardware.
• Maintain OS-9 system images or boot code on MC68360 and MC68302.
Essential skills:
• Operating system - Linux, preferably in a realtime environment;
• Programming Languages / Skills - C and C++, Application development for embedded real-time systems;
• Tools - Eclipse, Kdevelop, or similar IDE for Linux development,
• Self-motivated with good communication skills.
Preferred skills/experience:
• Operating system OS-9 68k, Communication protocols (TCP/IP, NTCIP), Shell scripting, Perl, cgi, html (for SafeSuite Web support),
• Knowledge of or interest in traffic systems,
• Realtime application development under Linux,
• Realtime application development under OS-9,
• Linux device drivers on PPC/PowerQUICC II architecture,
• Linux kernel on same, OS-9 68K drivers on 68K/QUICC architecture,
• OS-9 68K kernel on same,
• Tools - Source code control -- Perforce, ClearCase, etc,
• Hawk IDE for OS-9 development, Valgrind, Gimpel PC Lint/FlexeLint | |
