Job Description:
• The Electronics Test Lab Technician will primarily provide secondary technical support (Infrastructure) and services for the test environment, as well as for SIM Electronics equipment simulations.
• This position must be responsible to enforce inventory control procedures in the test environment.
A. Education/Experience Requirements
Must have an associate degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, information systems, computer Science or related field and (2) years of experience as follows:
• Experience developing and running test procedures for electronics equipment;
• Qualify assurance/quality control experience;
• Experience in simulation environments;
• Strong software background with Windows XP, MS Office Application;
• Prior System Analysis and design experience.
B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Requirements
• Aptitude for learning new technical skills quickly;
• Excellent analytical ability, with an understanding of systems integration techniques;
• Excellent writing skills and expertise in preparing reports of a technical/scientific nature;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills;
• Good organizational skills;
• Ability to work on diverse project teams;
C. Duties/Tasks
• Develop and/or enhance equipment operation test procedures;
• Perform equipment functionality evaluations;
• Manage equipment movements to and from the lab through the warehouse;
Provide Technical Support for lab tools, test data repositories, and software; Coordinate support, as needed, between in-house SIM installation engineers, Technicians and external vendors. | |
