The coding standards are listed below:

o ICD-10 is the next version of coding standard that will be deployed by October 2012), CPT Coding Procedures (learn more at http://patients.about.com/od/costsconsumerism/a/cptcodes.htm ),
o DSM IV books (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders DSM-IV-TR Fourth Edition). This is a hospital for patients with Mental illnesses.
o CMS stands for : Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services
o AHCA stands for : Agency for Health Care Administration
o Essentially due to the recent change in the law, this person will be responsible for Changing the Medical Code for classifying Mental illnesses from ICD-9 to ICD-10.
