Job Description	Description: • Conduct or supervise credit investigations on existing and potential customers to extend or raise credit limit • For job accounts, perform credit checks on customer’s general contractor and/or surety • Enter customer profile information into computer system • Monitor monthly balances of customers • Maintain customer files and ensure information is correct • Follow closely the course of aging accounts and determine action to be taken • Plan and maintain a program for the systematic follow-up and collection of receivables • Review and manage credit limits daily • Review regularly the status of collections to assure that A/R is in sound condition • Process cash receipts for customer payments that are collected at the branch • Send payments to lock box or deposit locally, depending on the timing in the month • Review open order report daily to ensure job accounts are being used • Review lien filing report daily to protect and enforce bond and lien rights • Per your state’s requirements, send out preliminary notices and perform lien releases • Follow up on disputes in a timely manner and work with salespeople and customers to resolve • Reserve for disputes not resolved • Communicate A/R problems to Credit Manager Customer Relations • Maintain relationships with salespeople, Sales Manager, and President and General Manager as it relates to the status of customers accounts • Work with customers in the branch and visit them onsite regularly, either with salespeople or alone • Extend credit to customers in accordance with established company policies and terms in a timely manner • Establish and communicate account parameters • Evaluate the need for joint check agreements for job accounts • Evaluate the need for a personal guarantee when credit is being extended • Obtain and provide reference requests on customers Comments: • Experience in construction credit and lien law HUGE PLUS!
