• Skilled Utility Workers for Assembly Department • Candidates must be skilled utility workers who could work utility or could work assembly. • Must Have High School Diploma Or Ged. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • High School Diploma and or GED • 6 months’ experience in an automotive or related manufacturing field • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively, both written and orally • Must have basic math skills • Excellent work ethic, ability to report to work every day and willingness to learn and to be a team player.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Familiar with electrical, assembly, painting and mechanical concepts • Must be able to read and work from blueprints • Good hand/eye coordination • Knowledge of good safety practices, PPE, etc. • Understands and is familiar with Lockout, Tagout procedures • Understands and follows best manufacturing practices • Ability to drive a forklift • Valid driver’s license.
NATURE OF WORK: • Assembling all types of assemblies and products, wires and adjusts products made of metal, rollers, electrical motors, reducers, belts, chains, wiring and tubing. • Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product quality specifications. • Must be able to use hands to reach, grasp, hold and lift products • Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, climb, reach, and lift objects above shoulders • Must be able to stand on concrete surface for up to 9 hours per day in an open factory environment. • Must be able to lift repeatedly up to 40 pounds • Use Banding equipment and stretch wrap once assemblies are complete • Undergo shop safety training, and complete all assignments in a safe and timely manner • Inspect work for defects and quality • Other duties as requested or assigned.
TOOLS USED: • Drills, drivers, nail guns, torque wrenches and mechanic hand tools of all types. |
