Job Summary – Responsible for the general housekeeping of all plant areas. Essential Job Functions • Utilize cleaning supplies such as rags, brooms, mops, vacuums, and extendable poles to clean assigned areas and equipment as assigned or scheduled. • Must be trained on the use of the floor scrubber, and use machine to clean assigned areas as needed. • Fill soap, sanitizer, paper towel, and toilet paper dispensers throughout the plant. • Empty garbage and recycling receptacles throughout the plant. • Utilize and store cleaning chemicals as described on individual Material Safety Data Sheets. • Document completed tasks using the master sanitation schedule. • Comply with all GMP, safety, sanitation and any other plant rules as established by the company. • Follow all Food Safety (HACCP), GMP’s, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental programs. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor. Minimum Job Requirements – To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements cited below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. Education/Training & Experience — High school diploma or GED; and one to three months related experience and/or training is preferred. Must be able to read, write and perform basic math. Language Skills – Ability to read and communicate effectively is required. Must be able to interpret work instructions, formulate plans, and express ideas and concerns effectively to co-workers, maintenance personnel and supervisors. Log all incidents and actions taken in a clear and concise method. Reasoning Ability — Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out multiple step instructions. Ability to remember and prioritize multiple job tasks. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. |
