Description: * Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. * Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. * Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. * May require a bachelor's degree and at least 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. * Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. * Performs a variety of tasks. * Leads and directs the work of others. * A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. * Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
* Management of supply chain activities in support of COMAC programs (C919, ARJ-21) and alignment of the broader ISC organization to the needs of the Customer Business Team Program Managers for programs including Flight Control Electronics; Air Data and Inertial Reference System; Wheels, Tires & Braking System; Auxiliary Power System. * Ability to act with urgency, manage conflicting priorities, and solve complex problems is essential. * The ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization including executives is required.
Supply chain activities include: 1) Validation that sourcing strategies align to product cost requirements and tracking the Long Term Contract requirements against the needs of the program. 2) Oversight of subcontract management focals to ensure alignment to the Supply Chain and Program Management expectations. 3) Coordination of hardware delivery teams including guidance and alignment of Hardware Coordinators for a. New product manufacturing intended for production aircraft. b. Retrofit programs for development hardware. c. Repair and overhaul of product associated with C919 and ARJ-21 flight test aircraft 4) Ability to understand and drive “Line of Balance”’s to address manufacturing issues. 5) Alignment with Customer Demand Planning and SIOP processes. 6) Coordination with Quality organization in support of resolving Quality Deviation Notices, CARs, and customer audits. 7) Alignment of supply chain organization to the program’s requirements for production readiness including Flawless Launch, APQP, PRR and FAI. Including flowdown to partners and subcontractors as applicable. 8) Ability to align with Export Control Office to assist with resolution on shipment issues. 9) Identification of opportunities for continuous improvement in the CBT’s supply chain operations. |
