Description: Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
•The Forklift Operator position is an important role to play in the daily operations of our facility. •There is a variety of roles and responsibilities within this position. •The types of responsibilities range from product selection,staging/scanning product and loading product into trailers. In this role you required to work safe and will be responsible for ensuring accurate order fulfilment and quality product delivered according to customer orders and requirements.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Performing warehouse operations such as loading/unloading trucks, lifting box, stacking boxes, handling product, palletizing & scanning labels into inventory, etc. • Interacting regularly with peers and management • Operating forklifts and rideable pallet jacks • Understanding and adhering to all food safety policies, safety policies and procedures • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship • Must be 18 years or older • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written) • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 15lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation • Basic computer skills • Ability to work indoors in a cold environment throughout the shift to fulfill orders, with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) • Ability to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications: • High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience • Previous Forklift experience • Previous experience in warehouse or production environment • Previous experience in cold or refrigerator environment
Other Required Experience/Qualifications:
•Basic use of a computer •Forklift certified or able to certified in 90 days •Experience working in a warehouse or plant environment •Experience with stand-up reach truck and high racking
Additional Preferered Experience/Qualifications: •Experience in cold storages
