JOB DESCRIPTION: •Preparation of financial reconciliations, analysis, construction work-in-progress ledger, mid-year and year-end closing entries and process. •Preparation and presentation of the Turnpike System's financial information as required by GAAP, the Department of Transportation (Department) and the Department of Financial Services (DFS) requirements. •Assist with the Turnpike's year-end and mid-year financial reporting closing processes. •These processes include, but are not limited to, the preparation of necessary accrual, adjusting and/or correcting entries, analyzing pre-closing trial balances for accuracy and appropriateness, and ensuring all Department closing requirements are met in a timely manner. •Research capital project expenses and reclassify them as fixed assets. •Review and evaluate current processes relating to financial reporting and reconciliations. •Recommend improvements as deemed appropriate and develop action plans for their implementation. •Document policies and procedures.
