•Assisting mentally impaired or emotionally disturbed patients, working under direction of nursing and medical staff. •Assisting with daily living activities. •Leading patients in educational and recreational activities. •Accompanying patients to and from examinations and treatments. •Restraining violent patients. •Examining patients to detect issues requiring medical care, including open wounds, bruises, or blood in the urine. •Reminding patients to take medications and nutritional supplements. •Noting observations of patient behavior, including complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses. •Staying up to date on CNA training and facility policy and procedure.
