Job Description
• We need someone hands-on that is familiar with electronics and circuit boards, soldering, wiring up things, electronic schematics, taking measurements of electronics at the board or component level…probably someone with a degree/diploma in something like electrical engineering or electronics engineering.

Top 3 Must Have Technical Skills:
- Experience testing and debugging electronics (board-level), electronic systems, and cables/harnesses.
- Experience building and repairing electronic systems (e.g. wiring of complex electrical systems, reading of schematics, soldering and removal of components on boards, creating cables).
- Ability to use a variety of electrical measurement and diagnostic tools

Engineering Technician
• As an Engineering Technician at client , you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of electronic and optical systems and equipment. 
• You will be responsible for building prototypes from clean sheet designs, and troubleshooting, repairing, and testing electronic components of existing prototypes. 
• You will be building complex electronic and optical systems as well as providing technical support to the engineering team as needed. 
• You must have experience building from scratch, including mounting boards, power supplies, etc. and wiring all components. 
• Your expertise in electronic systems will contribute to the success of our projects and ensure the reliability and functionality of our products. 
• In this role, you will impact the development and improvement of electronic and optical systems, ensuring their performance and functionality meet the highest standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans within the organization's business strategies
• Setup of test equipment, monitoring and measuring instruments, and other apparatus, and perform a wide variety of low-level and sub-assembly testing activities on breadboard circuitry, prototype units, production units, electronic circuitry, and cables/harnesses.
• Read schematics and execute wiring
• Build prototypes for testing and experimentation and make samples for further analysis
• Collaborate to identify and resolve technical issues
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems and equipment
• Perform post-mortem analyses to determine exact reasons for failure
• Use measurement and diagnostic tools to test and modify electronic parts to ensure systems and components meet established specifications
• Conduct tests and experiments with new materials, equipment, and processes to develop data for specification call-out or to determine suitability of a material for specific applications
• Draft procedures and record laboratory notes and other details to capture relevant details
• Makes sketches and marks up drawings as needed to show changes
• Improve and refine existing fixtures, devices, methods, and process steps or procedures, implementing changes as necessary
• Provide technical support to the engineering team
• Grow and develop your technical knowledge in a team-based culture focused on innovation and customer satisfaction
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of electronic systems and products.

YOU MUST HAVE
• Technical diploma or degree in a relevant program from an accredited college or university
• 3+ years of experience in electronics, wiring complex electrical systems, and reading wiring diagrams, including building, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic systems and equipment
• Hands-on experience soldering board level components and wires
• Experience creating cables using various types of connectors
• Strong knowledge of electronic components and systems
• Ability to write test scripts (preferably using Python)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
