- This role is based at the client facility in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, supporting precision measurement and quality assurance for aerospace components using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
Key Responsibilities - Setup and Calibration - Set up and calibrate CMM systems according to measurement requirements - Adjust parameters and tooling for accurate readings
Inspection and Measurement - Operate CMM equipment for dimensional inspections - Record and analyze measurement data; document results - Investigate discrepancies between measured data and specifications
Quality Assurance - Conduct routine checks and inspections - Collaborate with QA teams to identify defect trends and corrective actions - Prepare and maintain inspection reports
Troubleshooting and Maintenance - Diagnose and resolve CMM equipment issues - Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
Collaboration and Communication - Work with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues - Communicate inspection results and quality standards effectively
Qualifications - Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred - Experience: Minimum 5 years operating CMM equipment in manufacturing or quality control - Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and engineering drawings a plus
Skills: - Proficient in CMM programming and measurement software - Strong math and analytical skills - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities - Ability to work independently and in a team
Other Requirements: - Understanding of quality control methodologies - Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments - Certification in quality control or CMM operation is a plus
Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand for extended periods - Lift up to 35 lbs occasionally
