Job Description
• Hybrid Schedule after 90 days (based on business need)

• As a Mechanical Engineer at client , you will play a critical role in designing and developing innovative mechanical solutions that support our Industrial Automation business.
• You’ll apply strong mechanical design principles, leverage advanced CAD tools, and contribute to high performance conveyor MHE system designs that meet industry-leading standards of quality, reliability, and safety.

How You Will Make an Impact
• You will be a key contributor to the full product development lifecycle—translating mechanical requirements into robust designs, collaborating across engineering disciplines, and ensuring system performance through analysis, modeling, and validation.
• Your work will directly influence the success of client Industrial Automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the mechanical design process from concept through project delivery
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define requirements and specifications
• Design and develop complex conveyor MHE systems
• Perform mechanical analyses and simulations to ensure performance and reliability
• Mentor and provide technical support to junior engineers
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices

You Must Have
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related STEM discipline
• 1+ years of experience in mechanical design and development
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles
• Proficiency with AutoCAD
• Experience using mechanical analysis and simulation tools
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills

We Value
• Bachelor’s degree specifically in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
• Experience delivering mechanical designs for conveyor MHE systems
• Ability to lead and mentor early career engineers
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices
• Experience with product testing and validation
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes

Questions
1. Which standards or best practices guided your conveyor/MHE designs (e.g., safety, guarding, materials, GD&T)? How did you apply them in drawings and reviews?
2. Describe a test or FAT/SAT you planned or executed for a mechanical subsystem. What defects did you catch, and how did you resolve them pre turnover?
3. Describe your CAD workflow on your last project—what tools did you use (e.g., AutoCAD), what you modeled/drafted, and how you controlled revisions and drawing standards across the team.
4. Tell me about a time you used mechanical analysis or simulation (FEA, motion analysis, tolerance stack ups, etc.) to de risk a design. What assumptions, boundary conditions, and acceptance criteria did you use, and what changed in the design as a result?
