GENERAL PURPOSE: • Issue raw materials in a timely fashion to designated work stations. • Move work-in-process to designated areas. Segregate printed materials from other waste and dispose of them.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Stages trays, cages, pallets, cartons, dollies, skids, cut material, folded material, and waste containers as required. • Manages chipboard on and off of dollies and skids. • Empties waste containers in each process area. • Separates and properly discards corrugated, printed material, and miscellaneous garbage. • Performs banding, stretch wrapping, etc. of materials for shipment. • Delivers shipments to various departments. • Follows all standard operating procedures relevant to the job, position, and department. • Follows established policies, work instructions, and safety and environmental guidelines. • Performs all assigned work effectively and on schedule. • Follows instructions accurately. • Keeps work area neat and clean. • Performs other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. • Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid forklift operator license. • Must be able to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, procedures, and work instructions. • Must pass color vision test. • Must be able to maintain good attendance. • Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods. • Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
