Key Responsibilities • Prepare, scan, and analyze hardware using 3D scan technology • Perform static stress testing, hydrostatic testing, CG/MOI measurement • Support testing phases: setup/run/tear down • Perform modal testing, acoustic ring signature testing, electro-dynamic vibration shaker testing, and laser vibrometry testing
YOU MUST HAVE • High School Diploma or GED • Must be a US citizen due to contractual requirements
WE VALUE • A willingness to work with one’s hands and perform fine motor skill activities as well as heavy equipment setup • Good mechanical aptitude. Electrical aptitude is a plus. • The ability to work without verbal instructions or written procedures. Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done before being asked by others or forced to by events • An understanding of high-speed data acquisition, strain gages, thermocouples, LVDTs, load cells, accelerometers, and signal conditioning • Experience with 3D scanning, GD&T, vibration shaker control, electro-hydraulic control, basic machine shop functions and modal testing • Familiarity with RTCA DO-160 and MIL-STD 810 Vibration and Shock sections • Have practical experience working with engineering equipment • Able to mentally conceptualize and manipulate 3D objects • Willingness to travel occasionally to support multiple sites to drive test plans forward • A work ethic that places safety and data quality as the highest priorities, and possess good verbal and written communication skills • Be able to find effective solutions based on good mechanical and physics intuition • Sound technical judgment and opinions • Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with other individuals in a team or project setting • Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness |
