Financial Planning Analyst
• This role will support an internal initiative focused on improving the structure, accuracy, and governance of cost center management across the organization. • This is an internship-style opportunity designed to provide hands-on exposure to financial projects, mentoring, and real-world enterprise systems, making it well suited for an entry-level or early career finance professional.
• The position is project-based, with clearly defined objectives and deliverables, and will work closely with Finance and HR partners to standardize cost center attributes and resolve legacy data issues that impact financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Center Optimization Project Support • Support day-to-day activities for a cost center remediation and optimization initiative. • Assist with tracking tasks, timelines, and project deliverables.
Data Review, Validation & Updates • Review and update cost center attributes within ERP and HCM systems to ensure accuracy and consistency. • Assist with identifying gaps, inconsistencies, or outdated data.
Data Reconciliation & Cleanup • Support reconciliation of legacy cost centers into the current system structure. • Assist in documenting data corrections and alignment decisions.
Functional Cost Center Analysis • Analyze cost center usage to understand primary business functions. • Support recommendations related to consolidation, separation, or reclassification of cost centers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Mentorship • Work closely with Finance and HR stakeholders, receiving guidance and mentorship throughout the project. • Gain exposure to enterprise financial processes, governance requirements, and system interactions.
New Cost Center Setup Support • Assist with the setup and validation of new cost centers as operational needs arise. • Ensure accurate functional and attribute assignments.
Stakeholder Communication & Coordination • Participate in project kickoff meetings and recurring check-ins with stakeholders. • Help document meeting notes, action items, and follow-ups.
Implementation & Continuous Improvement • Support implementation planning for system updates and cost center changes. • Gather feedback from functional leaders and help refine cost center assignments during rollout.
