Position Overview • This position leads the end-to-end lifecycle of FAR 15 proposals and subcontracts in support of key Aerospace programs. • The selected candidate will support the Mechanical Assembly Government Sourcing team and will be responsible for mentoring team members while leading assigned commodities. • The role spans from proposal development through fulfillment of sales orders and concludes with negotiating subcontracts or long-term purchase agreements. • The Lead Subcontracts Specialist ensures compliance, collaborates cross-functionally, and drives supplier performance. Key Responsibilities • Execute FAR 15 subcontracts in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and applicable regulations • Develop strong negotiation strategies for contract execution • Manage key program suppliers • Train and mentor team members • Build supplier strategies to deliver best value. • Deliver compliant FAR 15 proposal packages to government customers • Partner closely with Pricing to ensure compliant submissions • Negotiate FAR 15-compliant subcontracts with suppliers You Must Have:
• 3–5 years of experience in: o Sourcing o Procurement o Supply Chain o Law & Contracts (L&C) o Business or Finance • U.S. Person status (due to contractual requirements) • Experience with FAR 15 subcontracting • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong negotiation capabilities and processes We Value: • Bachelor’s degree • Experience working with subcontractors across full program lifecycle • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and DFARS • Experience with: o MS Office Suite o SAP o Other subcontract management tools • Supply chain and procurement experience (defense, aerospace, or similar industries) • Experience managing contract types: o FFP (Firm Fixed Price) o CP (Cost Plus) o CPIF (Cost Plus Incentive Fee) • Experience with Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TCPD) • Ability to review and negotiate terms and conditions • Ability to work independently Questions – 1.
